Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) for Reduction of Stunting & Malnutrition is multi-sectoral plan of action prepared by the Government of Sindh, led by the Planning and Development Board in collaboration with development partners.
The major sectors involved in the implementation of AAP include health, local government department (WASH), population welfare, social welfare department, agriculture, livestock, fisheries and education.
The key strategic goal & objectives of AAP include to reduce stunting from 48% to 30% in first five years (by 2021) and 15% by 2026 in Sindh by increasing and expanding coverage of multi-sectoral interventions, that are known to reduce stunting in first 5 years of children’s lives.
Task-force Secretariat for Nutrition has been established, which will serve as an oversight platform for strategic coordination among various stakeholders as well as tracking the implementation progress and assessing the impact of the progress made
